101st

Hello,

This is my 101st post to the blog.
Today while adding images to my website, I stumbled across a couple of weird photos.
Check out the photos below. They were taken over 7000 photos and over one and a half years apart.
They're quite similar.

07/2008
03/2010
Even the wave behind looks similar...

Yet another

Hello,

Here's another photo from that magical bank.
This shal be the last (? still going through the photos from this day) from this bank.

Currently going through another sunny coast flat spell. Assignments are building up...
Not good.

Duplicates?

Hello,

Are these photos photoshopped duplicates or sequences taken from the two shots below?
No, this just happened to have a quality bank.

New logo test

Hello,

I've had to create a logo for a uni assessment, so I'm going to use it as my watermark for now.
What better way to test it than to whack it onto some sweet images at perfect 3-4ft Currimundi...
Enjoy.

'Tulla

Hello,

Surf's been pretty flat on the SC minus a couple of days of fun waves.
Without the invention of a swell forecast of any kind (buoys, synoptic charts, etc) it would be hard to pick when we get swell in this part of the country. So many variables.
So here's a pic from last week of Wurtulla doing what it does...
Throwing peaks.

Colour

Hello,

Here's a quick splash of colour from Sunday at North Straddy.
Both pics are of the same wave, with Bec Candy shooting me.
Good fun!

More pics from the last big swell up when I get time...

Crop!

Hello,

Here's an extreme crop from the other day. I'm sure PJ (I think) has a nice view.

Waves

Hello,

There have been decent waves the past 3 days.
Here's one of them at Currimundi.

More to come...

Mo Slo Mo Fo Yo

Hello,

Yet another slowed video I took last month. Nothing really great about it apart from the music and the eppo air at the end.

Song is: Birds of Tokyo - The Gap; who have brought out another cracking album.

The rest

Hello,

Haven't been taking many pics the last week. Slack.
Here's some leftovers I want to get rid of from the pile of OK/average.

Oldy

Hello,

Here's a bit of an older pic of MC at Wurtulla.

Stuff

Hello,

Last day of holidays before uni starts back up...
Something to look forward to include this blog potentially shutting down in place of a new website that MUST be made by the end of the year.
Anyways, here's a little movie I made on my sober Friday night boredom.

Shelly Beach

Hello,

It's pretty safe to say Shellys hasn't been that great since the water was just starting to get cold.
Mid-winter now, so it's been a while.

Here's some shots of mini-shellys in winter, mirroring what it did in summer, though 20 times bigger.

Brings back some fond memories...

Rainbow

Hello,

My girlfriend and I went to rainbow intending to stay for 2 nights which turned into 4 because it was so nice up there. There were waves running a couple of hundred meters down the beach sometimes barrelling the whole way. Wish I had brought the mal!

Luckily I had the boog with me, and went for a little shorey sesh where the waves straightened out and were throwing-out wider.
I took these pics just before I went out.

Full Moon Moffat

Hello,

Here's another clip I did a week or so after the clip below.
Taken on a full moon at Moffat. Basically just slow mo stuff, black & white, showing the moonlight reflecting of the near-flat ocean.

Many years on, the song featured in the movie is still up there in my top 20 songs of all time I reckon.
Have a gander.

Making the Red Rocket

Hello,

This is the first little clip I made in Premiere CS5.
Pretty dodgy now that I look back at it because it's about a month old.

Alive

Hello,

So basically it's been over 2 weeks since I've really done anything on the computer.
Been quite busy!

Waves have been good the past few days, but back to typical sunny coast conditions today.

Went on a road trip to Byron/Ballina two weeks ago with the boys from school.
Good times and way too long overdue.

Here's a shot of North Wall that Jesse took on my camera whilst checking the surf.

#10

Hello,

It's been 10 days since I've taken a photo of a wave. 4 days since I've been in the ocean. Starting to get restless...

Mudzy with a tight forward at Wurtulla.

#2

Hello,

Here's photo number two. What more could you want from a wave... Flaring pit with a V-shaped ramp coming at you.
Would love to see what Hardy would come up with on a wave like this...

One a day keeps the lack of updates away.

Hi,

So I'm going to release one photo a day for the next week.
Here's photo #1.

This is from Saturday morning I think. Took pictures before I decided not to join the circus out at reef, so headed to Wurtulla for a few waves that were easily better than this one pictured. Very good times on the Sunny Coast.

This morning

Hello,

This morning was a bit of a hoax, as usual.
Ended up getting some waves, here's a few I took while on surf check.

Lighting was shocking for getting the headland angle...

Afternoon Sequence

Hi,

This is an 17 shot sequence from the same afternoon as below...
Don't know who's riding?

Small versions don't really cut it, so click on the image you want to see for a slightly larger version.
